RICS Rural Land Market Survey H1 2010

The latest RICS Rural Land Market Survey reports that demand for farmland continues to rise whilst the supply of land has continued to decline. On average, bare land prices increased by 6% across England & Wales in the first half of 2010, but in the West Midlands pasture land prices increased by 8%.

Looking forward, surveyors expect farmland prices to continue rising over the next 12 months as a result of the supply/demand imbalance.
